Inspired by Dartmoor - Writer and Artist Residency
Wednesday 12 March 2025 at 10:00 - 15:00
As part of the Rite to Freedom Legacy Archive exhibition at the Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre Princetown, we are hosting an artist and writer residency and a free end of exhibition workshop day. The workshop day will focus on our three areas of delivery through Nature, Arts and Wellbeing. They will offer insight into Rite to freedom's work over the last 16 years on Dartmoor along with creative tools to live more balanced lives.
Former Rite to Freedom founder, Caspar Walsh and celebrated Dartmoor artist, Eleanor Tallowin will be at the Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre in Princetown every second Wednesday to develop their creative work together. This is part of the creation of the Rite to Freedom Legacy Archive in collaboration with English Heritage and Dartmoor National Park Authority.
Each residency day, Rite to Freedom will host 2 x 45 minute presentations exploring the history of Rite to Freedom and how the archive is being be created. These will be held at 11am and 2pm.
Eleanor and Caspar will be more than happy to answer any questions about their work throughout each residency day.
Please speak to Visitor Centre staff or telephone 01822 890414 or email ali@ritetofreedom.org.uk to register for one of these presentations. Spaces limited.
